The great backstroker from Iceland, Eyglo Osk Gustafsdottir, today announced her participation. Eyglo won bronze in Netanya on 200 backstroke and she is qualified for the olympic games in Rio. She is the Nordic Recordholder on 200 backstroke long course with 2.09.86.
Today four medalist from EC in Netanya announced their participation. We proudly present Aleksandra Urbańczyk (silver at the Short course Europeans in Netanya 50 back W), Tomasz Polewka (gold in Netanya in 50 back M), Sebastian Szczepański (2 bronze medals in Netanya 50, 100 free M), Alicja Tchórz (silver in 100 back W). We also give a big welcome to Kacper Majchrzak, the fantastic freestyler. This weekend on the Polish Nationals in Lublin he did a time on 200 freestyle that would have given him silver in Netanya!

Today we proudly can announce that the current olympic champion in 100 breaststroke, Cameron Van Der Burgh from South Africa will compete in Swim Open Stockholm! !!Beside his olympic gold he also has won three gold medals and six silver medals in world championships. Cameron trains a lot with the german coach Dirk Lange who runs the succesfull High Performence Center in Graz, Austria. Dirk joins Cameron to Stockholm and also bring some other great swimmers from his team. We find names like the two South African swimmers Gerhard Zandberg (two times bronze medalist on world championships 50 backstroke) and Giulio Zorzi (bronze 50 breaststroke on world championships).
The German giant Marco Koch, current world champion on 200 breaststroke from Kazan, today announced his participation in Swim Open Stockholm. Marco also won gold on both 100 breast and 200 breaststroke during EC in Netanya last week and will swim all breaststroke events and also 200 & 400 IM in Stockholm.
In cooperation with LL Sports we are happy to announce that all A-B-C finalists in Swim Open Stockholm will be offered free Race Analysis. This gives all finalists a unique oppurtunity and create a great tool for development!
The team from Luxemburg has announced their participation on Swim Open Stockholm. The team include the fast sprinter Julien Henx, the freestyle and medleyswimmer Raphael Stacchiotti and the great breaststroker Laurent Carnol. They also bring the current national recordholder in 50 & 100 freestyle for women Julie Meynen.

Mie Nielsen, the danish great backstroker from Aalborg with two bronze medals in Kazan has know announced she will compete at the Swim Open Stockholm next year. Her teammate Victor Bromer, finalist in Kazan in 200 butterfly join her. The successfull coach Eyleifur Johannesso also bring a couple of other swimmers from his great team in Aalborg.
The Polish national team with the great swimmers like Radoslaw Kawecki (silver in Kazan 100 back) Pawel Korzeniowski (world champion in 200 butterfly-05), Anna Dogiert (butterfly finalist in Kazan) has announced they will come to Swim Open Stockholm. Eventually also the silver medalist in Kazan in 200 butterfly, Jan Switkowski, will join.
Also the strong Finnish team has annonuced their participation. In the team we among others will see swimmers like Matti Mattsson (WC bronze on 200 breaststroke in Barcelona) and semi finalist in Kazan Jenna Laukkanen.
Giedrius Titenis with a personal record of 58.96 from Kazan on 100 breatstroke has announced his participation. He comes with his fellow-countryman, the freestyle sprinter Mindaugas Sadauskas.
The great breaststroker, world record holder and olympic champion on 100 breaststroke Ruta Meilutyte has announced coming to Swim Open Stockholm!
Also her team mate, the dutch breatstroker Moniek Nijhuis with a personal record of 1.07.13, has annonuced she will come. Both of them is part of coach Jon Rudds successful team in Plymouth and he bring some other of his great swimmer to the competition.
